The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office most wanted person of the week is:
Phillip Barboza of Fresno. A judge issued a bench warrant for failing to report to court on charges of auto theft.
A Fresno County Sheriff’s detective, assigned to The Help Eliminate Auto Theft Team, or HEAT, noticed a stolen car parked at a business. The detective watched as Phillip Barboza got into the car and drove away. The detective followed the vehicle to an apartment complex. When Barboza got out, the detective contacted and arrested him. The stolen car was returned to its rightful owner.
Barboza was booked into the Fresno County Jail. He spent one day in custody and was then let out after posting bond. He has not reported for his court hearing.
Phillip Barboza is 43 years old, 5’7”, 150 lbs. with brown eyes and a shaved head. He has Bulldog tattoos on his head and cheek, as well as various tattoos on his neck and wrists.
